Digital Preservation

The journal utilizes the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which is fully compatible with the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system. This protocol ensures the creation of a permanent and secure archive, guaranteeing the long-term integrity and availability of all published content.

LOCKSS is an open-source initiative developed by the Stanford University Library, designed to enable libraries to preserve digital journals through a process of regular monitoring and harvesting of new content.

The system operates under a decentralized validation framework:

  • Cross-Authentication: Each file is verified against records from other participating libraries.

  • Data Recovery: In the event of detected corruption or data loss, the system allows for immediate restoration using network backups.
