Interoperability

Vivienda y Comunidades Sustentables uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which incorporates the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative–Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) protocol. This enables the automated harvesting and interoperability of content metadata by indexes, institutional repositories, catalogs, harvesters, and other scientific information systems, thereby enhancing the journal's visibility, dissemination, and preservation.

Metadata are accessible in accordance with international standards for communication between academic and scientific information systems, facilitating the integration and retrieval of published content.

Published articles incorporate standardized and persistent metadata—including DOIs, author ORCIDs, keywords, abstracts, and bibliographic references—to facilitate their identification, retrieval, citation, and integration into national and international scientific information systems.
