Conflict of Interest Policy

The journal Vivienda y Comunidades Sustentables promotes transparency at all stages of the editorial process. Authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial team must declare any financial, institutional, professional, or personal conflict of interest that could influence—or be perceived as influencing—the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of manuscripts.

Authors must disclose funding sources and any relationships that could introduce bias into the presented results. Reviewers must refrain from evaluating work if a conflict of interest exists. Likewise, members of the Editorial Board must recuse themselves from processes involving situations that could compromise their impartiality.

The existence of a conflict of interest does not necessarily imply the exclusion or rejection of a manuscript. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that such situations are identified and transparently declared, enabling authors, reviewers, editors, and readers to objectively assess the integrity and reliability of the editorial process and the presented research results.

Deliberate failure to disclose a conflict of interest may result in the correction, retraction, or rejection of the manuscript, as appropriate.
